Had this Year ago. More than 40 years, Ponzi Vineyards set the standard for New World Pinot production with many innovations & techniques. All 130 acres of Ponzi vineyards are certified sustainable. Aromas of rich ripe fruit and osk spice, aged for 20 months on French oak (30% new) with fruit from Ponzi's Aurora, Abetina and Madrona vineyards. On the palate cherry and strawberry flavors with currants, herb and licorice notes. Lingers, well balanced frame ending with spice, cedar & mineral tones. Nice! — 6 years ago
I prefer the saline edge of I vignieri “aurora” to this bottle. But it was still clean, bright, tart, and refreshing. — 7 years ago

Had another bottle of this rustic wine. Super happy with it. This time enjoyed with a mix of game - goose breast and duck breast l - and some couscous and mushrooms. Later had a small cheese course with a raw milk cow’s milk, alpine style cheese. — 7 years ago
Rich and smoky cherries, asks for some food thats been roasted, follows you around like you're on fire. Goes from low score to above 9 if you have the right companion elements. — 8 years ago

That was fun. A mutt that is predominantly Mencia but has a lot of other stuff because it was big. — 7 years ago

Não sou um grande apreciador de espumantes mas sou fã deste Moscatel. Especialmente pelo custo. Enfim, ideal para minha primeira viagem a Fortaleza — 8 years ago

Great wine but be aware that it’s still very young. Not a typical Ponzi single vineyard Chardonnay, it’s still strong, greasy, reductive aroma and flavors are reminiscent of many a modern Cote de Beaune. Powerful, complex, detailed, earthy. Decant and aerate if drinking now but better still to cellar at least another 5 years. I’m projecting it will age gracefully for 25 years or more. — 4 years ago
