I don't know what Jeanne d' Arc might say, but the taste of this wonderfully balanced, smokey, earthy wine was reminiscent of the semillon grape, and it paired quite well with cote de boeuf! Interesting green bottle to boot! — 8 years ago
Light. Gentle. Liked. — 9 years ago
Well-rounded, lemony arc. Viscous with sharp finish. YOU ARE THE LIZ LEMON OF WINES, and I will love you forever. #ftw — 10 years ago
Full body, rich in aromas and with intense flavors (species and wood), well balanced and with a delicate touch at the end. — 10 years ago
Verduno represent! Needs more time to show what it's going to do but very pleasant right now. On a great developmental arc. — 12 years ago
Tasted while visiting Devaux, in the Côte de Bar—the house itself, an historic building just off the bank of the river Seine. Thier non-vintage Cuvée Rosée is tutu pink, with a fine bead it offers a pretty sensor arc of rose petals, anise, red berries and pastille mints. Fresh and convivial on the palate, it's not a rosé Champagne of tremendous depth or power, what it communicates is poise and pleasure. Sample — 9 years ago
A full throttle, lush, savory Syrah. Smashed berry and dried herbs with an incredible meaty arc. Young. — 10 years ago
I love this wine, full bodied, great flavour. It's wonderful — 10 years ago

Mandarin orange cream sickle and biscuits. Edgy saline and slick rocks, citrus pith salivation for the long arc. — 11 years ago

Rustic and chaotic. Dark, intriguing and satisfying. Some good funk and black fruit on then nose. Tart boysenberry from the Frappato upfront. Some bass notes from the NDA with a waifier than expected body. A chalky baking-spice, limestone-laced finish. Doesn't seem to follow any decipherable arc though like a story made up of wonderful vignettes that don't fully gel, but you don't care and enjoy it anyway. — 8 years ago
I haven't tried this vintage any earlier in its development, so I can't tell where this one lies on the arc. That said, it's delicious and not at all overly expressive on any note. — 9 years ago
Drank this with a Somm friend who thought it was French :) What stood out about this bottle was balance- a perfect arc. Not sure why people poorly review Napa's 2011 vintage but I love them. Slightly lower alcohol meant I could enjoy a glass as its own main event — 9 years ago
1999 vintage comparison of two producers. All had the complexity of the year and region. One corked Drouhin (CdV) and one corked Taupenot-Merme (MSD). But back-ups were available.
Stars included the T-M Chambolle Musigny and Charmes Chambertin with great balance and wonderful forest aromas, and the Drouhin Clos de Vougeot and Charmes Chambertin with growing richness and a touch of saline.
Some had only a brief arc of balance, but the GC's were pleasing throughout the evening. — 10 years ago
My favorite drinking wine. The 2012 vintage is a bit smoker than usual; normally it's quite sweet — 12 years ago

It's beginning to taste alot like Christmas.
Like riding the waves of California Cabdom on Noah's oaken arc filled with two of everything: blackcurants, rocky minerality, blackberries, turning strawberries and dried eucalyptus. — 8 years ago
