Domaine Ramonet

Les Ruchottes Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2006

Light straw gold. Succulent nose with bright fruit... apricot, lemon, clay, marzipan and spearmint. Rich and round in the mouth. Nice structure that weighs on the fruit side more than the acidity. Really nice juice. One of the better 06's that I recall tasting or drinking. Can certainly improve but nice now. — 9 years ago

Château Doisy-Daëne

Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2011

2011, Chateau Doisy Daene, Barsac, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc. Candied tangerine, honey, apricot and excellent acidity. Too bad it was only a half bottle. Drank over 5 days and it kept getting better, more complex. — 10 years ago

Cristal Brut Champagne 2002

2002 vintage in magnum. Light lemon hue. Wonderful nose. Wet rocks and lemon-lime profile, with dough, toast and hints of nuts. Stone fruit - white peach and underripe apricot. On the palate, wonderful balance and harmony. This is a great wine - everything works here, although still very youthful. Lovely mid palate concentration, but no excess richness. There's a purity with this wine which is very Crystal. Long and elegant finish. — 11 years ago

Found this hiding! Perfect with light meats & cheese. Familiar petrol, apricot, peach, kumquat?, even slightly herbal/floral... Really lovely. :) — 11 years ago
