2000 vintage. Huge grassy aroma upon opening. After lengthy decanting, a phenomenal beautiful cab franc emerges, fine tannins, with lush texture and layers of flavor that build to an apex of cold smooth stone, fennel and a slight hint of tobacco. 5.75 out of 6 Jeffersons. This was a big wine, yet of the European style. Made in the Brian Carter era of Apex, this was his last venture with creating straight variatal wines before his BC Cellars start.
