Lemon in colour. Notes of Orange peel and Quince on nose and palate. Medium to full bodied. Refreshing uncomplicated drinking. The base wine, Grillo, used in Sicily for the fortified Marsala - a style that has fallen out of favour in recent times. Tasted again 30 weeks later on 10th May 2019 with consistent notes as above. Tasted again on 9th October 2019 with consistent notes. Also notes of old apples and quince as previous. A delicious Mediterranean white and excellent QPR. — 7 years ago
This Abruzzo white wine is tinted yellow. It smells of citrus, mostly - Meyer lemon, lime and tangerine. There is also an earthy aroma like that of apricots. The apricot note is more noticeable on the palate, with all that citrus coming along for the ride. The acidity is quite fresh, very refreshing. The finish is medium and carries apricot and salinity, along with the Meyer lemon. — 4 years ago

Wonderful port. Rich dessert wine. — 8 years ago
Really good elegant wine, needs plenty of flavors with it as it is a full bodied rose with plenty of floral notes . Had this with fresh herring coated in flour with salt and pepper and fresh gnocchi, wonderful combination. — 4 years ago

Smooth and dark. Dry rich red wine. Very good, solid big red table wine. Not too complex but grows with age. — 8 years ago
Classic B-flat Barolo - meaning it sings in the best key, it's easy to drink and it hits all the right notes - a crescendo of tar and tart fruit, backed by lightly percussive tannins. I got one more bottle, so I can play this tune again later. — 8 years ago
