Nicely dense and consistent Beaujolais. Deep red color and pretty tannic for a Gamay based wine. Aromas of black fruit with a cotton candy/bubble gum (not sweet) note. Just had to try another bottle. Medium Ruby, youthful aromas of fragrant red berry fruits, smoky and earthy notes, aged in French oak for 15-17 months. On the palate flavors of raspberry, strawberry and cherry with notes of forest floor. Medium+ acidity with soft tannins on long finish ending with tobacco and earthy character. Very nice now will improve in the cellar! Paired nicely with sushi grade tuna dish with cilantro noodles and black garlic sauce, Yum! — 5 years ago
