My husband is a scotch drinker, but, this was given to him as a Christmas present last year.
He landed up opening it up last week to try, and really liked it. He’s had a glass every night so far.

Solid red blend with northern red wine varieties. — 6 years ago
A good solid white wine. Had what I refer to as an initial zing on the palate but after a couple of sips this subsided to more of a general tangy acidity. Flavour lingers long after a sip and generally very pleasant. Consumed with pork and Welsh cheddar sausages, herbed new potatoes and carrots and they worked okay together but found the wine more enjoyable solo than with the meal. — 6 years ago
Smoky, chocolate-covered raspberries, very smooth for its age. Nice bite on the finish. — 4 years ago

Blackberries and plum with light spice. Soft, silky, smooth finish. — 5 years ago
Another gift from a new Kentucky friend: fairly hi-octane mellowed by Port wine barrel aging, shows a darker amber color, mellow woody flavors, some spice, orange peel, vanilla, mocha, roasted chestnuts among other myriad notes. Nice finish - a Bourbon that needs some H2O to cut the ALC to highlight aromatics. — 7 years ago

Light & fruity with some dark plum, anise & violet, a touch of roast. Fresh.
On the palate this is surprisingly light, juicy & lively. The cinsault really comes into play. Fruity, funky, with light tannins & juicy acidity. Fresh, crunchy fruit, a touch of bubblegum character, a herby note towards the finish.
So drinkable, and a lovely wine. Though might not be everyone’s cup of tea. — 4 years ago
