It's evident this was aged in oak. Bouquet of red fruit flavors - cherry and strawberry. And an earthy anchor. — 9 years ago
Very smooth, slightly peppery but no bite. Having with Mexican and it pairs fabulously. — 9 years ago
Very nice notes, with just a little fire to start. Mildly dry. We picked this as an anchor to our meal at a new restaurant that features modern and interesting twist with small "tasting plates" — 10 years ago
(***) rich, minty bouquet laced into powerful black currants; smooth and strong, like silk-coated anchor rope. — 10 years ago
Dark plum but with some earthy notes and pepper — 11 years ago

This immediately shows an open & agreeable aromatic character. This is an excellent example of the high toned, acid driven Nebbiolo. The tannins are the anchor here, but the red fruit positively shimmers across the palate. There is a keen sense of accessibility with this with a counterpoint of grippy nuance & silky textural complexity. Delicious with some braised lamb, but almost a meditation on Nebbiolo afterward by itself. — 9 years ago
Preserved raspberry, rhubarb. Red flower. Fall herb. Pink peppercorn. High acid without anchor. Occasional smoked meat. Precise aromatics and airy expression without the depth and intensity of its neighboring Nebbiolo. — 10 years ago
Rich but on point flesina drinking very well young. spice notes anchor very bright red cherry fruit. Also strong notes of menthol. Focused and transparent . Quite tannic but good with food. Eons of life to go but will drink well all along — 7 years ago
Deep black fruit. Intense. A true stunner!!! — 9 years ago
Nice balance of hops and malt. A touch weightier than the regular Anchor ⚓️ Stream. — 9 years ago
Well balanced, not overwhelming on hoppiness nor bitterness. — 10 years ago
