A classic. Flavors so rich and amped it practically sits in its own category. Your head will turn wondering what why the others are called sweet vermouths, but this one is just stealing the show, not gonna be a good fit for every cocktail. It can feel like bringing your famous model/actress friend to a casual house party at times. The profile of this in a negroni will upstage any but the sharpest (and also well mixed) gin, and really makes Campari seems too sweet(which it is). I mean This thing can compete w fernet! And they're great partners really, the rough mint and grandmas pantry herbal bitterness let anticas rich luscious chocovelvet ommph do all catcalls, and then show u the kinky whip after. Sshhh.. Stole this from a local bar: 1 part fernet, 2 parts antica, lemon/orang/ or grapefruit peel+soda, single stir: go! Tell me how you likely — 10 years ago
Amped up! A lot of minerality coming out with a handful of bright tropical fruit. Delicious!

Originally when I opened this bottle I wasn't that amped, but in Penfolds' fashion this bad boy is built to last. I'm guessing you could lay this down for another 8-13years and it will shine. 5 hours after this wine was decanted it was still tight, but tasted great. — 11 years ago
This is Stone's 20 Anniversary beer, their Encore series , 6th year anniversary of their Porter, brewed like the 1st anniversary of this Porter, everything is amped up, bigger chocolate, coffee, plus vanilla and Cherry, toasty, oaky, smokey, very delicious, excellent!!! — 10 years ago
Last bottle of this holding up well, amped up maltiness is a very American take. Drink up, you. Can't take it with you! — 10 years ago
Keep your friends close and your 07's closer. Beautiful, open for business, first phase success story. Never moved beyond primary notes, which I mention as a testament to its ageworthiness. Slightly amped up from your usual Chablisian fare, but certainly of its ilk. A pleasure to encounter during a beautiful showing in Portland. — 9 years ago

Surprisingly good for such a niche product. Lotta potential @ $25/6-pack. Could be a lovely winter sour amped by dry pisco or rye vodka. Easy springtime fizz, too. — 9 years ago
Smooth balanced awesomeness. Like the perfect balanced Pinot amped up in spice, pepper and body to be a cab. — 10 years ago
I am looking forward to opening this soon.
I had a taste of this before and cranked up my expectations. It's like Initial, but amped up to 11 :) — 10 years ago
The beauty of Cab Franc, amped up with brooding dark fruit and great tannic structure from Tannat. — 10 years ago

Like an amped up filly leaving the starting gate. Initial Brett funk blows off and then gorgeous clean lines emerge. — 11 years ago

Wow. Basically La Roja on steroids, this has all of the great characteristics of La Roja but amped up, while at the same time better integrated. The sourness is beautifully balanced by some vanilla (presumably from the oak barrels, but who knows), as well as lingering hints of caramel that help to sustain a long finish. Definitely a notch above the regular bottling, this one is a treat! — 9 years ago
