Uncork it. Put the cork back in. And then shake it. Then drink. — 7 years ago
Deep amethyst purple in the glass; black at the core. Fruit juicy nose of plums, blueberries, and graphite. Full-bodied palate echoes the nose with plush, velvety tannins. Long finish. This is what happens when the New World puts its mind to it. Enjoy with burgers or Porterhouse steak. — 9 years ago
deep, brooding baby bandol that shines like amethyst for the price of quartz. subtle balm of oil cured kalamata olive, dried blackberry, cured beef and leather draw your nose deep into the glass. the palate delivers what the nose promises, joined by bay leaf, oregano and dank earth, framed by chewy tannin and understated acidity. sublime with braised lamb and root vegetables. #bandol #mourvedre — 10 years ago

Dark, glass-clinging amethyst purple. Dusky nose of black fruit, black rubber and black pepper. Full mouthfeel. Firm, woody tannins on entry, yielding to black fruit and pepper. A great wine with burgers or a cheap steak. — 9 years ago
#California #Nebbiolo. Whos says Cal-Ital #Wine can't make it?
Only the 3rd vintage I've seen in 8 years. #Nebbiolo with all the bells and whistles. Slight brick color (2005), medium density. Cherry cola, herb, juicy berry.
Clean, sharp, focused bing cherry. Zippy raspberry acid, long chain tannin that opened just right after 45ish minutes.
This wine will hold up for sometime. Killer juice! — 10 years ago
Borderline black. Funky cheese and old sneakers imbedded in candle wax.. River monster. Fungal plum and mica. Lighter mouthfeel rimmed with tiny-grained wash of tannins. Dark clouds of sedimentary river bottom and black currant skins. Black cherry, burnt blueberry, amethyst. Smoky and crystalline with frankincense. Bakers chocolate, pine cones, blackened cedar, thyme, raspberry. Big finish that resonates. #terroir — 11 years ago

How do you describe a perfect amethyst purple? A regal gem! This Malbec is sumptuous with ripe plums, raspberries and zesty cherries. Subtle hints of pepper and licorice that comes with rich, warm and bold tanins with a smooth finish. Excellent with a filet! — 5 years ago
Dark amethyst. Abundant nose of black cherry, cranberry, and pipe tobacco. Well-structured, full bodied palate echoes the nose with firm tannins and medium acidity. Another great Toro from Uro. Take it anywhere you’d normally take Bordeaux or a firm Washington Cabernet. Steaks and hearty stews will reward especially. Drink now through 2029. — 5 years ago
Mild notes of saw dust, amethyst, and zucchini skin. Don't forget the mild hints of egg shells!! Best. Tastes very aristocratic. Would definitely 💯 recommend. — 11 years ago

Light salmon hue, lemon and tart cherry on grape leaf with sage aromas. Zesty lemon shimmers on the palate, intense ruby grapefruit pith comes forward with true depth and minerally amethyst and a lightly salty edge. Fantastic!! — 11 years ago
