Beautiful medium purplish ruby red. Lovely elegant nose with violets, strawberries, provenance herbs, and a light funkiness. Medium tannins (5.5/10) and medium plus acidity. Structure on the palate with mountain red fruits, white pepper, herbs, and red plums. Long finish. Drink till 2022. — 6 years ago
This a full bodied wine. Great with food. Subsequent blends post 2014 use more Grenache and less Syrah and I did like as much. Great with food — 6 years ago
Raspberry crush. Dried herb and a little bit of black tea. Not the most robust pinot. Fruit is here, but definitely attenuated. Improved after an hour but by then and with about 5 drinkers it was GONE! Fruit density medium. Not much tannin here. Good wine and definitely see this one improving with 3 or 4 years in the bottle. So if you have this one, be patient! — 7 years ago
For Oregon pinot, this one is rather good. Lots brambly fruit with an herb front and middle. Lots of sweet raspberry and black cherry in the front, with a FULLY EXTRACTED middle and finish. Compared to a Rivers-Marie 2015, this wine has nothing on it. This is a MASSIVE wine, and as one person stated, the best place for this wine is in the CELLAR at the moment. I do not believe that I will be touching anymore of mine in my cellar. Boss still has a few more in the cellar (about a case), so to infinity and beyond!

Good god! This is a spellbinding U.S. example. Subtle notes of cloves, cinnamon and redcurrants on the nose. Palate displays caramel, red and black fruits, and a hint of smoke. Tannins are integrated and support what is a lithe finish. Beautifully delineated now and should be consumed over the next 2 years. Santa @Martin G Rivard gifted to us what we consider this to be one of the best US pinots we’ve tasted. Thank you so much, bro 😍 — 6 years ago
12’ Alexana Revana Vineyard Block 8 . The very best five barrels each year. 11 months in barrel, additional 14 months in bottle before release.
A complete waste if you don’t decant this for two hours. Gorgeous color. Nose- Dried flowers & hint of spearmint. Palate- Dark raspberries, dark stone fruits, spices, black pepper. Touch of cola.
Moderate acidity. This would benefit with a little more age. @Martin G Rivard Santa with another delivery to my door. Can’t thank you enough. Love you buddy! — 6 years ago
Rich. Good lushness. Balanced fruit and nice mouthfeel. Yum and yum. — 7 years ago
Good Pinot but not as good as the Alexana — 7 years ago
Marshmallows. Graham crackers. Basically s'mores. Perfect mouth feel. — 8 years ago
Great blend! — 8 years ago
2009. Plush and generous. — 9 years ago
Should have given it a year or two more but still fantastic. Slight honey on the nose and a touch less on the palate. Not overly acidic and a bit more alcohol than I'd prefer for this. But overall amazing!! — 9 years ago
A good punt of spice, mint and pretty floral notes along with a healthy dose of fresh earth. Light cherry and strawberry fruit on the tongue with a zesty spice laced finish. Finish 40 very good + — 11 years ago
Yum! @Jansen in phillie — 6 years ago
This was actually chosen as the wine of the night by a few at our table. However, I must humbly disagree. I think the Alexana Had more going on with a very boisterous flavor profile. However, I would not kick this out of bed for eating crackers! LOL — 6 years ago
This was a private single barrel best barrel selection bottling. Only done for members. Absolutely, ridiculously, freaking good! This has it all going on and is a great representation of what the winery is all about. Opulence, spice, forest floor, Any depth of flavor on the back palate that was only matched by one other this evening. Truly a spectacular beast to say the least! I can’t even imagine how incredible this will be a few years from now. Winner winner chicken dinner! — 6 years ago
I have reviewed this one before. This is a pinot for someone who says that they don't like Pinot. If you give them this and they still don't like pinot, then they REALLY DON'T LIKE PINOT. Dusty rose pour. Dirty raspberry and minty front. Well-extracted front and middle. With many pinots I have noted, the wine really doesn't seem to come back around full-circle. This one drops you off at your front doorstep without you even having to look at it. Still blown away by this wine. Beat an Alexana single vineyard 2014 Pinot with LOTS TO SPARE. — 7 years ago
Great pinot varietal flavor but without the mouthfeel or extended finish of an elite wine. Still very good though. — 9 years ago
Ripe fruits on the nose. Great acidity. Long finish. Lovely — 9 years ago
From winery in willamette valley. Not too sweet. Yum yum. — 10 years ago
