Acidic, bright, great fruit and a spicy note. Really enjoyable and good price point. Il Cappricio Friday of Thanksgiving. — 6 months ago
Had at Elkridge Furnace Inn 8/'25 with dinner, ~$65. Very rich and full bodied. Strong tannins. — 9 months ago
Unique grape. A bit gamey, robust tannin (not overly so). Enjoyable. Got better the more it had a chance to breathe. — 5 years ago
Great blend - one of my favorite dry blends for the price — 7 years ago
Black licorice, dark berry, super structure with gentle integrated tannins. Supple. Long finish. Delicious. — 5 months ago
À very young vintage that is tasting nicely despite the tannic structure. Smoother and softer than the Taurasi aglianico wines - this wine is pairing nicely with our Italian meal. If you can find a bottle - you’ll find this a great value discovery! — 7 months ago

Absolutely atonishing ! Fruits, tasty, everything is in it. — 6 years ago
Oaky, big Aglianico. Very structured with lots of tannins. Something vegetal in the finish. Probably should have let it age a few more years but very enjoyable nonetheless. — 8 years ago
Beautiful wine. Will need to find more — 5 months ago
Great wine with great value. Dark fruit, with balanced tannins. Really good, especially for the price. Enjoyed with a homemade bolognese. — 6 months ago
Popped and poured into red Solo cups. The 1997 “Radici” Riserva pours a garnet color with a near opaque core and a slightly orange rim; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe, tart, and some desiccated fruit: Montmorency cherry, plum, licorice, smoked meat, balsamico, a mix of organic and inorganic earth, exotics spices and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tanning and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and earthy. This was quite the departure from the Napa wines surrounding it but made a statement. Drink now through 2037. — 8 months ago
Full body and full tannins meet the earthy murky sweetness of a great natural wine. All of the mouthfeels coupled with broody intellectual flavors—smoky tobacco and freshly polished leather shoes. But that acidy brightness makes me feel like I could drink the entire bottle. Fantastic appritivo to your favorite pizza and a very gorgeous wine — 6 years ago

An exceptional aglianico that was a perfect pairing with a tasting menu of Tuscan and Roman food. A little VA - but not in a distracting way! — 4 months ago
