Ti amo the complexity and aftertaste of this Aglianico — 4 months ago
Decanted about 30 minutes prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2007 pours a deep ruby color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some signs of light sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with powerful notes of ripe red and dark fruits: brambles, kirsch, plum, tobacco, purple flowers, green bell pepper, leather, cocoa, and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is positively delightful right now and there are little signs of slowing down. Drink now through 2037. — 4 months ago
This time around was better! Some fruit and pleasant tannins — 8 months ago

Great blend - one of my favorite dry blends for the price — 7 years ago
Tecce is one of my favorite Italian producers. The 2022 Satyricon doesn’t disappoint. Opens up after 3-4 hours. Dried flowers, cherries and charcoal on the nose. Lovely aromatics. Tart cranberries with blackberries. Sharp minerality, mouth-puckering tannins, astringent, dry, dusty and savory long finish. Very long. Young. 14.5% abv, but it doesn’t feel overly full or heavy. I remember the 2020 being darker and more fruit-forward, but I could be wrong. — 4 months ago
Dark ruby/purple color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of ripe black berry/currant fruit, ash, smoke and leather. Sour red and black cherry fruit on the palate with additional notes of figs, black olives, woody herbs and black pepper spice. Nice hint of charred oak on the medium-plus finish. Well balanced and powerful. Better as it opened up so give this wine a decant. Solid QPR. — 5 months ago
Opened and decanted 2.5 hours in advance of our inaugural Aglianco Osso Buco wine dinner here at the Gotham
Facing off against a range of Aglianco from Unti in Sonoma, Leonetti in WA and Galardi 2007 in Campania
The 2010 Galardi was the most dense and as with the 2007, the fruit was minimal. Instead the flavor profile is herbs, green olives and incredible savory notes. It worked incredibly well with the osso buco and needed the richness to shine. This wine still had a bit of hard edges and could use more bottle age IMO — 6 months ago
Full body and full tannins meet the earthy murky sweetness of a great natural wine. All of the mouthfeels coupled with broody intellectual flavors—smoky tobacco and freshly polished leather shoes. But that acidy brightness makes me feel like I could drink the entire bottle. Fantastic appritivo to your favorite pizza and a very gorgeous wine — 5 years ago
The dark and brooding 2014 Taurasi Riserva Radici is geared for the cellar, yet already thrilling to taste. Here I’m finding a mix of crushed tart cherries, blackberry, and plums, offset by savory herbs, orange rind, and a hint of mocha. On the palate, velvety textures coat the senses, slowly giving way to a complex blend of citrus-tinged dark fruits and saline-minerals, as fine tannin saturates the senses. The finish is long and classically structured, clenching the palate, yet leaving a pretty display of spiced orange and inner florals. There are many years of evolution in store for the 2014 Riserva. The patient consumer will benefit from losing a few bottles in their cellar for at least five to ten years. (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2020)

Daaaaaaang this is amazing! Pro ratings are too low. Tecce aromatics are so good. Flowers, iron, tar and macerated berries on the nose upon opening. Incredible balance of fruit and minerals with a metallic tone. Hint of licorice. I just opened it and it’s already so complex with little alcohol showing through. Lots of Mediterranean herbs, hay and grape stems on the finish, with a nicely tannic bitter final note. Super long, easing into dusty dried fruit. Absolutely excellent. So smooth and drinkable for a 15-percenter. — 3 months ago
Really good. Needs a few hours of air. I’m guessing will be better in 5 years. Cherries, tobacco, strawberry jolly rancher, earth, a bit of evergreen. — 6 months ago
Delicate. Tanins have softened. Nose of light plum and leather. Medium to full body. Complexity with layers of tastes. — 7 months ago
Unique grape. A bit gamey, robust tannin (not overly so). Enjoyable. Got better the more it had a chance to breathe. — 4 years ago
Absolutely atonishing ! Fruits, tasty, everything is in it. — 5 years ago
