Glorious length, palate-staining. Not fat but very pure & forceful waves of citrus, stone-fruit, minerals. Plenty of acidity, could age more — no idea which way the flavor profiles evolves. — 4 years ago

Wonderful white! — 7 years ago
Truly compelling. Layers of toast and mineral and so youthful still. Encruzado and Maria Gomes from Dâo and Bairrada. Living vibrantly in the glass. Finishes long. Complex. Has lots of life yet ahead. — 8 years ago

I swooped this random Portuguese white blend from my local when I needed something light to pair with a seafood paella I was making last night. This is a blend of three grapes I have very little experience with: Bical, Maria Gomes (Fernão Pires) and Cerceal. The wine pours a bright golden color with medium viscosity. One the nose, the wine is medium intensity with green apple, pear, star fruit, grass clippings, verbena and honeysuckle. On the palate, pears, green apple, minerals and beeswax. Medium+ acid. The finish is long and lip smacking. This was a really huge surprise and massively satisfying for under $20. Yet another reason why I should be drinking more Portuguese whites. — 4 years ago
Strong minerality, mild fruitiness — 5 years ago
Bramble, brick, less brett than 08, forest, cherry, dried rose petal. Very complex. Beautiful wine although is doesnt have the bracing acidity of the 08. — 6 years ago
Super fresh! — 8 years ago
A great sparkling white wine. Not too dry, not too sweet. A great desert wine that goes great with chocolate or with fresh fruit. — 11 years ago
Lovely effervescent, tart fruity salty — 4 years ago
Yes! Very good start. An apple, pear, tropical fruits. It's 'brut' but it isn't, because it's mild. Very good for cleaning palate. — 4 years ago
Very interesting bubbly orange from Portugal 20bucks at chambers — 5 years ago
2016 Baga from Luis Gomes is more mineral than fruit at first, then the fruit opens up in the glass. Great with food, especially hearty seafood and lighter meats and chicken. — 6 years ago

Excellent! Can't beat it for $12. Apple juice aromas. Apple, pear, citrus, and yeast on the palate. Off dry/semi-sweet style. A perfect NYE eve drink while preparing for tomorrow night. 60% bical, 35% arinto, and 25% maria-gomes. — 4 years ago
