From the wine list at EMP bought by a new friend at the table next to us to go mano a mano against the 88 La Turque I shared. Slightly darker red and more pure in color. Amazing aroma that is more linear than the animalistic La La but in the same league. Hit its stride right out of the pop and pour gate. Lovely perfume with a more briary nose but speaks Cote Rotie from the get go. Perfectly integrated fruit and structure. Best Jamet I've had. Thanks to Danny for this treat. — 9 years ago

One of my favorite Grenache wines this year. — 10 years ago
Wow. Delicious. Much richer and new world in style than the 88 which was tasted in conjunction. — 12 years ago

Good dessert wine! — 13 years ago
Suprised by how much I liked it. Excellent. — 8 years ago
Super rich. Spends a full extra year in barrel. Semillon and SB. The nose is perfumed with honeysuckle, orange blossom, crystallized honey, and apricot. The palate is dense with mandarin, beeswax, roasted nuts, dried apricot, Meyer lemon, and some petrol. Really nice. — 9 years ago
Imagine biting into a juicy, ripe, liqueur-soaked peach-tangerine hybrid. #Burgenland #austrianwine — 9 years ago
Really nice Barbera. Good balance between alcohol and fruit. Would pair well with pork BBQ or even a spicy shrimp. — 11 years ago
My favorite from a vertical of 86, 88, 93, 95, 97 from Mag, 02 and 04. Personality in spades. — 12 years ago

Kano, you are such a tough grader! It's '88 La Mish, and it was the first thing I'd ever tasted after becoming a new home owner. Absolutely delicious, amongst the sweetest nectar I'd ever enjoyed in my life! Far from perfect, but pretty close to one of the finest gifts life can offer. Thank you! — 10 years ago
Crisp, clean, just enough oak taste. Smooth, clean. Very enjoyable. — 11 years ago
Line up of Dom Ruinart BDB Mags: 88, 90, 93. All worthy- 90 So powerful/balanced and slightly more tropical. — 11 years ago

Raspberry and pomegranate. The freshness at almost 30 years is amazing. Had with gravlax in beggar’s purses. Great pairing. I am told 88 was the first LGD Rose. I have more. — 8 years ago
