Sette Ponti or "seven bridges," refers to the 7 bridges crossing the Arno River on the road from Arezzo to Florence. Blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cab Sauv & 10% Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in new French oak. Went to a tasting, had ‘14 & ‘15 side by side. Very dark enticing red with concentrated aromas of dark fruits & earthy notes. Flavors of cherry & plum with tobacco and spice. Firm but approachable tannins, medium length ending with a bit of spice as the finish builds. Best to drink ‘14 now. Tasting Sample. — 6 years ago
Deep ruby red with some garnet edges. Powerful still on the nose and palate. Tons of baking spices on the nose, especially cinnamon, dark red berries, and a touch savory. Moderate tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Layers of spices and dark red berries on the palate. Long and lingering finish. Great structure and still has life left in it. Drink till 2022. — 7 years ago

Lightheaded, yet well structured. First time cooked vegetables came up as a GOOD association. — 9 years ago
2012 enjoyed in April 2015. Dark ruby in color with a slight sunset around the edge. Chalky/earth & plum jam nose. Soft tannins and a slight chewy fruit... finish gives you a little jawlock with every taste. Takes an hour or two to open up. Great value at $14 bucks (HEB R/S) — 9 years ago

Famous #australian #riesling from the #clarevalley made by #accolade company #leasingham . From the hot season of #2003 though mot looking shabby; pale gold yes; spice and restraint not strong kero or honey; backward a little; evolving fruit; blessed by screwcap; 12.5%. — 8 years ago
7 grapes created this beautiful blend. 4 red and 3 white, all from one vineyard planted in late '50. Rustic, smoky and bitter with soft tannins. Red berries try to brake this tobacco facade, needs long aeration to set them free. Quite acidic, licorice finish. — 9 years ago
A wine with the 'yummie' factor, drinks like limonade (in positive sense), playful and elegant. — 10 years ago
Black cherries, cloves, leather and tar. It's a ripe, overt Napa Cab that has an attractive balance and surprisingly silly tannins. Approachable now but would be happy to cellar this for a while longer.
Enjoyed at Simon and The Whale in NYC paired with the Simon Burger, which was beautifully prepared, if rather fussy with endless aiolis and such like. — 6 years ago
A lip smaker, lovely with our crab cakes. — 8 years ago
