Fortune Teller Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

10 in 19. Still wonderfully integrated. Restrained and elegant, was shocked that it was 14.9 abv. Tobacco. Red savory fruit. Medium-full. — 7 years ago

Jerkface 9000

I am imagining my dear Mother's disapproval of the name as she was always a proper lady.

This is a very smooth, yet crisp citrus flavored beer.

Okanagan Valley Pinot Noir Rosé

A very good Okanagan rosé with aromas of strawberry and rose petals that transition into a medium bodied, delicious tasting wine with pronounced minerality and flavours of crushed gravel, strawberries, rhubarb and white cranberry. — 7 years ago

Ayres Vineyard

Pioneer Ribbon Ridge Estate Pinot Noir 2015

Now this is some really good PN. Bright cherries laced in minerality, and floral fragrances as if walking through a rose garden that is planted parallel with a road that’s just had fresh asphalt applied. Perfumed yet damp and earthy. Love the back-label note:

“The best of our barrels comes to you in this very limited bottling. It is comprised entirely from our Ribbon Ridge vineyard’s sweet spot, all from Clone 667. Named in honor of an Oregon Trail pioneer, this is a wine that could stand up to such a journey.”

As I continue my never-ending and tireless search for the perfect “10” of IPAs a friend recommended that I try this one. The “Filthy Dirty” IPA from Parallel 49 Brewing Company, Vancouver BC, although not the perfect “10” it certainly ranks in the top tier of great IPAs. With its crisp mouth feel, hints of fruit and clean clarity on your palate this Canadian is a hops lover’s delight. Oh with so many great IPAs to taste and so little time, I need help. Penfolds

Bin 8 South Australia Cabernet Shiraz 2012

Apparently they needed shelf space for the 37th version of Ménage à Trois, Sunrise, a breakfast white.

Black fruit with a tinge of stone fruit, oak-driven vanilla, dark chocolate and an edge of mint. Not inspiring, but classic, nonetheless.

Nice @Isaac Pirolo ! Hey @Kim Stanbro have they changed the laws and at least allowed opening of wine stores on Sunday yet?

@TheSkip unfortunately some Maryland stores forget we voted against prohibition. In Baltimore we do have Sunday shopping, but when we visited my daughter's place up near the ski resorts, not even restaurants could serve booze on Sunday. I had to have brunch without a mimosa- or a Bloody Mary- worst brunch ever.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend 2011

Valpolicella, or "valley of many cellars" is an area crossed from north to south by a series of hills, which in succession form three parallel valleys. Dark red with aromas of black and red fruits and spice. On the palate cherry and raspberry flavors with cacao notes and oven spices. Soft smooth tannins well balanced with acidity on a long finish. — 9 years ago

Finest Hungarian #wine I've had. @KNWWines Nagy Eged was #Excellence.

Incredibly chalky. Fine earth running parallel. Dense.

Opens up nicely. Tannins get superfine. Smokey raspberry, high acid. Focused elegant black raspberry finish. The cork would parrish before the wine would. We needed
