Had two bottles of these to serve at a dinner for my daughter’s 21st birthday. They were wonderful wines, still lively and with plenty of full mouth for its 21 year age. But it also had that long finish of earth and dark cherry pit that well aged Bordeaux can have. It was enjoyed by all present. — 5 years ago

Poured from a 375. This wine, even from 375, was really firing on all cylinders and maybe even a bit locked up for the first hour, just shows you that any vintage in the 21st century really should be locked up in the vault, not seeing the light of day for another 10 years from 375. This wine had a classic Pauillac nose. My initial thought was a young Pichon however even Pichon young seems to have more mushroom, more earthy loam and gravel and this one was just so damn smooth in its earthy notes. The wine was robust on the front, lots of earth, mushroom enhancing the youthful blackberry notes. Finished with some peppery notes. Great terroir notes. This wine was awesome, and I think I probably drank half of this while Walter drank the Spoto :) — 6 years ago

Last year Barb and I attended the annual Tasting at the Pinot Shop in Launceston. Of the 75 approx Tasmanian Pinot Noirs this one was in my Top 3. It has gone on to wow audiences at subsequent tastings around the country. Had a bottle a couple of nights ago with the following tasting note. Whole bunch stemmy notes. More floral savoury and earthy than fruity notes. Incredible depth to the palate - sumptuous and delicious. Oak perfectly judged giving a slight burnt flavour. Medium + bodied with silky ripe tannins. Low acid. Beautiful now - drink sooner rather than later. Will please “crowds” and experts alike. Opened a bottle 176 weeks later on 21st October 2022. Still very good - raspberry notes coming through. Not the absolute wow when it was young. — 5 years ago
Raspberry, porcini, classic Gevrey “fishiness”. Dark, commanding and intense. Loaded with the stuffing that separates the best ‘15s from other 21st century vintages. #philipperossignol #gevreychambertin #vieillesvignes — 5 years ago
Amazing wine. Given as a gift for my 21st birthday. Would love to try and find again. — 6 years ago
Drank a 2011 & 2012 Colgin Cariad last night for my 21st birthday and a 2012 Peter Michael "Au Paradis" #1 wine of the year courtesy of my step-dad Martin. It was indeed an incredible evening. This evening, I picked up the tab today on my 1st legal purchase on this 2016 Bud Light Lime......let me tell you., it is drinking like a million bucks!!!!
Great Nose, slightly fruity with a bubbly finish. Tried to Ck out the legs but they fell flat. I recommend this vintage to everyone! @Martin G Rivard — 8 years ago
