These wines make me happy the same way that “fruit by the foot” fruit snacks made me happy as a kid. They show bright red fruit that excites the palate and the mouthwatering textures carry waves of bright acidity that allow a multitude of flavors to burst, over and over again. Soft but complex, fruit focused but controlled and oh so delicious.

Williams Selyem Winery began as a simple dream of 2 friends, Ed Selyem & Burt Williams, who pursued weekend winemaking as a hobby in 1979 in a garage in Forestville, California, and made their first commercial vintage in 1981. Rich nose with complex fruit, spice and floral scents. Juicy red fruit flavors, great mouthfeel, slight oak notes. Lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Tasting Sample.

2014, 13.8% alc. Nice acidity and not too rich for a RRV pinot. This one could age. Well done
