Pomegranate and sassafras aromas w forest floor bouquet. Hint of saline in the finish. Beautiful wine. Simply classic. Too bad they no longer have access to the fruit

Thanksgiving & Weekend Wines...
Great Pommard Clone Sonoma Coast Vineyard. More reserved than Erin Jordan’s Failla Hirsch, lighter in a more feminine style. Cheers πŸ‡πŸ·πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

I think the WS winemaking style seems to render many of their single vineyard wines similar to one another and this one followed that pattern. Good, but not great, and lacking some of the characteristics I’ve come to enjoy from Hirsch vineyard wines.

1 Hour Decant; needs 3 hours today.
This is a Baby πŸ‘Ά with a long life ahead...
Opened up a lot during 3rd Hour.
Lot’s of young tannins need to be resolved.
From the Sonoma Coast Hirsch Vineyard.
Give it time! Cheers πŸ‡πŸ·

Powerful but still light on its feet. Dark florals, ripe strawberry and black cherry with a bit of citrus and just the right amount of oak. Stellar California Pinot, one of the best

Strong purfume of dark cherry, licorice, vanilla and Sonoma. Incredibly structured palate of red fruit with a perfectly balanced citrus that makes the palate haunting. The long finish keeps the low level acid coming, demanding sip after sip.
