Crisp, light honey notes, lemon zest. Cuts the summer heat! 🇦🇹🇺🇸

Tons of stony minerality with underlying vey faint lime zest, lime pith. Medium body with an edge of acidity and slight effervescent reminiscent of a Vinho Verde without all the green apple fruit. Probably better suited for a summer night with seared scallops than a chilly autumn Tuesday night with leftovers, but still bright, lively and fresh tasting wine.

It is Friday and I have unscrewed an easy drinker to start the weekend off right again from Austria. The 2016 Weingut Stadt Krems Kremstal Grüner Veltliner 12.5% Alc. By Vol. Light green to clear in color.

On the nose it is beautifully perfumed with lemon, lime, white flowers, white pepper, spice and definite mineral tones.

On the palate the nose is confirmed with loads of lemon, lime peel, white pepper, spice and minerality.

This wine is light bodied with mouthwatering high acidity but not ripping that leads to a clean long finish. All in all a nice clean easy drinking wine. Have a great weekend and please stay safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Pale yellow-green with a soft, fresh nose of green apple and pear with a little citrus. More of the lemon-lime citrus side through the palate, with a pithy finish. Not bad.
