Love this Cab/Merlot/Cab Franc blend from the brilliant Richard Ostreicher. Stunning nose of leather, smoke, deep cassis, wild herbs, minerals and flowers. Just a knockout. Wild mint, lavender. Just so impressive. Palate is ripe and generous with unreal freshness and energy. I mean the energy combined with the fruit clarity is just insane. So juicy and clean and the fruit just echoes. Blakcberry, black cherry, cassis but intermingled with awesome minerality. The tannins are so fine and woven. Unreal inner mouth aromas and a nice plumpness due to the merlot. The elegance is top notch. Brilliant stuff.
