Surprised at the depth of flavor and complexity here. Layered notes of figs, currant and plums on the palate with some vanilla mid-palate and cinnamon and white pepper on the fairly long finish. Perhaps a little too much heat from the 15.4% alcohol but overall better than anticipated.

A beautiful Pinot from one of my favorite vineyards. A bold expression of red fruit, smoke, coffee and leather in a slight hint of the Burgundian style. Wines from Clos Pepe definitely reflect the terroir in an elegant way. The wine also has a slight floral nose but wait until the finish! A very complex balanced wine that will age beautifully. I love it.

Rich aromas of fruit and earth as you inhale this 2012 in. Nice tannins that have mellowed enough to produce a smooth crisp finish. Paired with a salmon filet and salad very nicely.
