’04 was a cooler, higher acid vintage with limited botrytis. Nevertheless, this ABTSBERG Beerenauslese was tasting like true AMBROSIA, meaning “the nectar of the gods”. This heavenly Ruwer Riesling is quite drinkable now in a half bottle, but still has years of life left in it. You could pair it with a fruit-based dessert, but really it is dessert all by itself:-)
