Reserve Dry Bogazkere

Extraordinary Bogazkere tasting of cranberry and pomegranate, and having an earthy nose. Light in body and a great accompaniment to a wide range of foods and cheeses.

2011. At Ottoman Taverna earlier this week. Paired well with kibbeh and lahmacun. When first opened, the cherry-berry aromas dominated the oak and the tannins were a little drying but not harsh. As it warmed, the vanilla and sweeter oak came forward.

A bit too juicy. The nose was fantastic but it disappointed in the mouth.
