This is a merlot! Drinks beautifully so flavorful with a wonderful smokey mid palate flavor and a finish that's long lasting, a little pepper on nose but not spicy!

Had one more of these 13s left so I thought I would drink it. Tight on opening like the last one.

Aug 24th, 2017Big tannin structure/oak component with the fruit kind of playing second fiddle. Actually gave it a higher score last Christmas (maybe more fruit?). Def a cab style merlot. Already developing secondary characteristics. Herbal notes. Somewhere between the 89 spectator score and 96 wine enthusiast score.
Next day: actually improved. Fruit showing more.
