Bold! Svelte tannins and mouthwatering acidity envelope flavors of fallen autumn leaves, dried earth and dried cherries.

Beautifully complex and the tannins have mellowed out. Fruit forward with light notes of oak.

The wine gets better and better if you let it open. Cherry and earthy flavors.

Great alternative to the Brunnello at a much lower price point. Opened up after just a few minutes in the bottle/glass. Great fruit & enough acidity to make it interesting. Excellent wine for food. Perfect pairing w/the ossobucco and risotto it went with!

Paid $70 in Jan 2016 for 2012 (actual cost $39) at The Tin Roof Bistro in Manhattan beach. Did not live up to expectations. Flat finish. A bit chalky with very light flavor. Bad buy at $70
