I had the 2012, this is an interesting Sangiovese from the start you will smell some plum notes and a bit of floral dancing around (I am not good enough at deciphering what type flower to be exact), however as it decants it changes to rich cherries and spices. This drank well, with favors to me of dark cherry, some tobacco and oak. There also is a touch of fresh soil. The tannins finish nicely in your mouth. It is not an old world example but in this case it is a good thing. This makes a great casual evening choice. #untivineyards #sonoma #healdsburg #sangiovese
