The wine I have opened this evening is nothing short of stellar for the price. The 2018 Turnbull Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, CA.
On the nose are wonderful black fruit black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, vanilla, violets, pencil shavings and earth.
On the palate are again pleasing dark fruit, black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, anise, graphite, herbs and clean dark earth.
This is a full bodied wine that is well ballanced with medium+ acidity and medium + fine mouthcoating tannins that move smoothly into a long fresh black fruit finish. What a wonderful way to start the weekend. For the money this wine checks all the boxes. Please have a great weekend and stay healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

It’s really smooth but flat. Not a lot of robustness. Spicy , peppery dark berries. 9.0
