Ruby in color with a wide brick rim.
Nice nose of black currants, plums, bell pepper, oak, licorice, cloves, dark chocolates, herbs, spices, earth, wet leaves, vegetables, dark coffee, tobacco leaf, vinaigrette and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, coffee, oak, cloves, light vanilla, vegetables, tobacco, black pepper, spices, dark chocolates and bitter herbs.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice surprise. This 6 year old Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced and spicy, with nice complexity. Drinks way better than 2 years ago.
Didn't take long to open up, and gets earthier as it does. Tannins show up after an hour.

Dark Smokey black fruit nose leads to flavors of ripe blackberry and cassis. Hint of black pepper spice and charcoal. Chewy tannins and a very ripe finish. Nice firm balance, and the body is not overpowering.

A surprisingly rich and chewy Cabernet. Smooth start leading to a bold mid palate. Finishes with a flourish of chocolate and vanilla.

Their Malbec blew my mind at first taste, and still enjoy but now accustomed to strong oak and cherry on dry tannins, and this Cab is very similar. $15 fr NSLC in Amherst.
