Tommaso Bussola
TB Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend
Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto, ItalyAmazing wine. Paired really well with basciola and paprika pork. Bought for $60, originally priced at $100. On its own, the smell was hot with high alcohols (fusely). With food, the alcohols were less perceptible. Full bodied, very tannic. Other than the alcohol, smell had licorice and cherry. Taste had strawberry, licorice, spicy, cherry. Would love to have again.

Jul 5th, 20242015 Classico. This is a thinking wine. Smells like hard liquor when first uncorked. Let it sit for a hour and it turns into a bold red gem. Filled with dark berries and thick velvety richness. Spices. Spectacular.

Personally: the king of Amarone! I adore Bussola! Do not let the 17,5% fool you, the fruit is still very present even though the alcohol is clearly noticeable. Liquid gold!
