The Steven Kent Winery
The Premier Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

I think this is my favorite wine from steven kent. Would love to try this against some good vintage lineages. It's got a great nose, mouth watering acid and flavors, and enough tannins to get your attention. Not dark dark fruit. More mixed with prominent red fruit. Really in a nice spot. These wines are really meant to have this kind of age on them.

2nd day after corking it yesterday. Of all the steven kent wines, this has to be one of the biggest. It's 14.8%, which is high for him. The winemaking team has been trending to lesser alcohol over the years. It's got prominent secondary characteristics and herbs, but it's all blended into the tremendous soft richness of the wine. Trying this against the lineages, there is no doubt those have better focus and tannin structure. But, this is a great wine that is drinking now. It's all cab while the recent lineages have been around 50%cab30%cab franc (2015 lineage will be high cab once again).
