Some wineries (um, new CA) claim to make so-called food-first wines. Yet, the winery I find consistently successful is farther north: Teutonic. Most (all?) their wines humbly sidle up to a mess of food things in the most moving, relevatory way. Lessons here, folks.

One of the most intriguing whites I've had in a long time. Beautiful light pink hue, Citrus, wet rose, damp grass, and wicked minerality. Give me more.

Pretty copper color. Exotic tropical fruit, strawberry, and some citrus. Young and vibrant, this wine is just begging for creative food pairing.
