Fatica Contadina Taurasi Aglianico

Very well balanced and well done aglianico. Ripe plum and red currant, some raisin, good acid.

Bandol like

Plum, earth and spice. Needs to open up a bit.

2011, low tannin deep color medium body. So good!

Quite tannic. Opened the bottle for one hour. Decanted. Slightly mellowed. Went well with lamb chops and lamb sausage.

Enjoying in Positano.

Reminded me of a slightly more tannic version of the Greek Assyrtiko grape. Good backbone and structure. Fairly full bodied. Has a sort of pulpy mouth feel.
