Bright Ruby to the rim. A nose of ripe cherry, fresh plum and rose petals. The texture is velvet with blackberry, more cherry, leather spice and tobacco leaf. Amazing silky smooth finish with perfectly balanced acidity and fine grained tannins.

Suave, mucho sabor

Beautiful nose, leather on the palate. Cabernet Sauvignon notes very noticeable. Nice classic blend. Makes me curious how their first wine is tasting

Didn’t want the ‘14...that’s what the Ritz somm brought me (but that’s a story for another day). This was good, but a little blob-ish for what I expected from the Ornellaia second wine, fruit was a bit thin, tannins were grainy. Maybe someday I’ll try the 2013 I ordered.

Very interesting nose of earth, oak, flowers, and some red fruits in the background. Juicy red fruits mixed leather and tar. Medium to firm tannins. Long finish.
