Letโ€™s talk about โ€˜tertiaryโ€™...by that I mean aromas and flavors that develop during the bottle-aging process. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

With the name Brunello di Montalcino DOCG you can be certain this wine was made with 100% Sangiovese grapes, came from Tuscany, in Central Italy, ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น and was aged for a minimum of 5 years prior to release, at least two of which were in oak vessels.
๐Ÿง๐Ÿง

The age on this wine shows in its aromas and flavors, which retain some evidence of fruit, but have started to trend towards the tertiary side of things. ๐Ÿทโ˜บ๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘ The color is medium ruby with garnet rim variation.

๐Ÿ‘ƒ Indeed the nose has a medium(+) intensity of developing aromas. Aromas include baked cherry, strawberry, blackberry, also black licorice, anise, fennel, balsamic, nutmeg, clove, cedar, tobacco, earth, meat, and game.

๐Ÿ‘„ On the palate this wine is dry. It has medium acidity, a medium(+) body, high alcohol, medium(+) tannins, and medium(+) intensity of flavors consistent with the nose. The finish is medium(+).

Shout out to @sommnow @h_obf for helping us find this gem ๐Ÿ’Ž ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
