Goes well with a simple meal of sausage. Not a complex wine nor especially smooth but tasty nonetheless

Mild black cherry on the palate. A little bit of tannins and structure in the mouth, lingers well on the palate.

JL Sicily tasting 2/21/17. Good value at $17. More complex nose of dark fruits and minerals and palate is former and acidic and complex with long interesting finish. Notes of dust and earth. Good food wine and will age. Supple tannins.

Tasca d'Almerita Tenuta Regaleali 2014 Lamùri Nero d'Avola: This is a really nice Nero d'Avola for the money (under $20). It offers deep aromas and flavors of black cherries, raspberry, holiday spices and violets. Ripe but not lush, this wine is well-proportioned with good supporting acidity, lovely texture, and a medium-long, slightly gripping finish. The type of (solid QPR) wine you want to buy several bottles of; because if you only bought one, you will wish you had more!
