On #ChardonnayDay (always the Thursday before Memorial Day!), I stumbled (literally!) across this lovely sample sent to me last fall. Estate grown and fermented and aged in stainless steel, this is a great example of unoaked chardonnay. Pale gold in the glass, it boasts aromas and flavors of juicy apples, pears, peaches, and citrus with mouthwatering acidity. Stoller was the first LEED® Gold certified winery in the world. 13.3% ABV. Screw cap closure. Winemaker: Melissa Burr. Wine Spectator 90 points and Tasting Panel 91 points, for those counting. The 2015 vintage is the current vintage. (sample)

An impressive Chardonnay that drinks like a complex, balanced Sauvignon Blanc. 2014 is young, but it still shows well. Pair with goat cheese (chèvre) and poultry dishes. I don't know how to describe it....just really delicious juice. Enjoy!
