Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Blend of mostly Cab Sav with Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot & Malbec, aged for 22 Months in new French oak. Deep Ruby with aromas of black berry fruits, sweet spice, blossom & oak. Palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry & plum, jammy, with sweet spice, licorice and cacao notes. Fine structured soft tannins, well integrated, long finish, ending fresh fruit character, adding some leather, nutty notes & oak. Outstanding, still drinking well, has some bottle age.

Notes are consistent with the ‘04 and ‘08 I’ve had in the last 2-3 months. Definitely the most Bordeaux like out of the lineup...saddle leather, bing cherry & pipe tobacco aromatics. Bay leaf, ripe black cherry and some mocha on the palate.

Bottle no. 20425 (of 29400)

As expected from this winery (and from this period) Brett is at the forefront.

Familiar with Brett and how it can affect wines over age (not necessarily in a negative way) I would opt to pop the cork and enjoy this over the next foreseeable future.

Gorgeous. Give it 2 hours. Medium body but feels lighter. Nose has saddle leather, cherries, and charred oak. Mouthfeel is great silky soft. In drinking window. Tannins smoothed. Good dusty cherry, cranberry, and red fruit.

Black fruit and so smooth...not a hot bet of tannin on this 11 year old vintage!
Bottle
#23419 of 29400 produced. Pretty cool.
