Haven’t had a 2000 Napa is some time. Many would say a disappointing vintage. They would be mostly correct. But here is one 24 yrs later in bottle that shined a bit.
It showed excellent integration and evolution. Holding up exceptionally well. Really enjoyed its smooth dark spice on its long finish.
I think $29 on one of the more recent Last Bottle Marathons.

Very special 2000 Red blend from Spring Mountain, Napa served with a special Sunday dinner: Pasta a la Zozzona. Completely different wine in the first 30 minutes of drinking than it was after decanting for 30 minutes. Black Cherry, leather, tobacco. Soft round tannins and a LONG finish. But it’s really interesting, I’ve had wine aged half as long that showed its age 10x more than this wine. I feel like it could have aged even longer.

2000 Spring Vineyard Elivette. A very interesting profile for this vintage- it almost reads like a younger wine. Super dynamic taste as it opens up. Rich blackberry and currant. Full-bodied, but not as harsh as expected with this much aging.
