Tonight's wine is the 2016 Spottswoode Mary's Block Sauvignon Blanc.
On the nose there are very distinct notes of grapefruit, peach, lime, melon, herbaceous notes and minerals.
On the palate there are lovely notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lime, white peach, grassy notes, herbaceousness and minerals.
This wine is medium bodied with a crisp and clean mouthfeel, medium + to high acidity that move very well into a long citrus and mineral finish. What a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc this is and it has at least another 5 years or more left in store.
