2017 vintage. Grüner Veltliner from a single vineyard Edens Road on the Waimea plains. The nose could be mistaken for an older "petrolly" Riesling. With time in the glass aromas of flowers and exotic fruit develop. In the mouth underripe pineapple and crisp acidity give way to an almondy finish. Not as good as the Austrian versions I've tasted in this 14 EUR price range (try Eschenhof-Holzer!) but a nice drink anyway. Residual sugar 1,16 gr/l. Abv. 12,5%.
