Mother’s Day wine for Judy. Ok I had some as well. Not quite as fruit forward as is normal for Seasmoke, but it is 10 years old. Smooth with some black fruit on the nose and finish.

I tried to sip, but before I knew it, my glass was empty. Licorice, tobacco, cola, dark cherry and a velvety finish. One of the best wines I've ever had the pleasure of tasting.

Lots of memories with this bottle. Last Kris vintage in our formerly large collection. Aged very well.

Spiced red fruit (stewed) - cola (dr pepper/root beer) - juniper - oak - green peppercorn. Fruit dancing softly across the palette with some slightly soured notes at the mid. Great structure, medium acidity and medium minus tannins. Great, grand wine at the end of its drinking window.

Oh yeah! You've had Southing: good. Ten: great. Botella; Da Bomb. Lives up to Sideways expectation. Try it if you can find it, but I'd suggest at home as this wine has a cult following, hence pricing in fine dining restaurants. Oh and Ten is absolutely awesome...not like any Pinot you've had ;)
