Schrader Cellars
Boars' View The Coast Pinot Noir

4th Friday of the month means Classic Wine Storage happy hour! Great wines, as always, today!
My first Boar’s View Pinot. Maybe because it was enjoyed next to a RM Kanzler Pinot, but this wasn’t as large and cab like as I expected. Fruit was restrained, and it seemed coy. I got a lot of earthy and cedar/kirsch notes, with strawberry and rhubarb showing up at the end. Decant or hold.

Huge, quite intense, extremely expensive, has some varietal character, but you can have more than a glass of this.

Clunky, syrah-like....just doesn’t taste like a pinot noir

Time in the bottle has been extremely beneficial.....syrupy monolithic character is gone and now it’s really opened up...best bottle to date
