Riquewihr Lost Slough Vineyards Gewürztraminer

Dry white. 500ml bottle. Very interesting. Went well with jambon wrapped trout over trumpet mushrooms @thecommissary in the presidio

2012 Scholium Riquewihr. Gewurtztraminer -- Nice stuff. The 09 is way more interesting to me though

Honestly, I was hoping for more out of this bottle. It's the 2012 Vintage, too young? Or will Gewurtztraminer just have issues in Cali?

OG dance party wine. This vintage so elegant, a waltz.

Really nicely balanced. Opened this '12 along with the '15 to see how they compare. Both floral, but this has a much more mellow tone. Jasmine certainly, but honey and a nice minerality.

If gewurztraminer tried to be fino sherry. Not as powerful on the oxidation as other of Abe's wines. Went perfectly with (and stood up to) yukgaejang.

2012 Vintage. Not like I remember in some earlier vintages. This one has a lot of minerality. Not much fruit, or at least it's not what drives this wine. A bit funky, but in a good way. Medium finish.
