This one was alright. But for a region known for bold wines, I didn't think this stood up

Terribly put together. Obtuse acid and old smell. Super sweet tasting.

Looks kind of orange. Nose of diesel. Eucalyptus. Black current. Looking at this you'd swear this was burnt and over the hill. Not so. Very strange. ThT being said, I don't think this is all that complex. Actually I'm lowering the rating. Less and less pleasant with airtime.

2011. Really really weird. Petrol on the nose—and and orangey/strawberry color. I thought for sure this was way past its prime. Lo and behold it was still kicking and—dare I say—kind of interesting... A bit thin on the mid palate but there was still some Mature jammy fruit and a warm spiciness. The human equivalent to the interesting quirky dude at party who ends up being the most intriguing one. At the end of the day. You don't know if you actually like him but you keep thinking about what he said...

Soft, but luscious, good fruit that doesn't overpower. Delicious wine, full-bodied, and probably too much for the veal Marengo we had--a lighter red would probably have been more simpatico--but no regrets, too tasty.

Dull brick-to-brown color - jammy red fruit - a bit astringent

Not as full bodied as I'd hoped but still delightful. Smoky leather and spicy finish
