This is just an all around awesome wine. Big but bursting with bright red fruit flavors. Spicy, chocolatey, even silky. Completely dry. Finish is long and fragrant. Excellent.

Enjoyed revisiting this opulently jammy and robust Zin on its own. Ripe cherry, juicy plum, as well as prominent but seamlessly integrated spices thanks to some responsible use of new French oak.

Inky purple without any brick. Subdued jamminess on the nose but not much alcohol despite ripeness at 14.5 ABV. Delicious black fruit with pronounced blueberries (my favorite element of the Shale Terrace). Disagree with other reviewer that some Zinfandel do not improve with some age. Fruit component can fade if you wait@too long but tannins become supple.
