Saxum Vineyards
Bone Rock James Berry Vineyard Syrah
Paso Robles, Central Coast, California, USA

I got the pic via search and I think it's from @Richard Steinberg cellar tracker notes consistently identify a "spritzy" quality to this wine on the pop and it was absolutely there. I'm curious as to where this comes from because I have also seen it repeatedly on the '05 Clos Des Papes. Anyway, the spritz detracted a little as it was still there, although less pronounced after 1.5 hours in the decanter. However the wine was not compromised. Tannins are resolved. Fruit still there but it's no longer very vibrant. A good not great wine. Saxum can do little wrong in my eyes but this '04 is on it's denouement. Drink now.
