Austri Langhe Barbera

Brett bomb.

Bursts from the glass with pomegranate, cherry cough drop and shoe polish. These notes carry onto the expansive palate which is structured with melty tannins and bracing acidity. Despite the mature character of the flavors, the medium-long finish is fresh and zippy. Barbera done well is so much fun!

Deep ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of black plum, red plum, stewed blackberry, bramble, black cherry, underbrush, earth; dry, medium plus acid, medium plus tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, very ripe flavors, well balanced, rich and concentrated flavors

Very earthy on the nose , then a lovely dark fruit with a hint of mint in the mid palate . Medium tannins , good length

Sunday sauce. That’s Italian.

First red wine in a while.

Hits you like walking into a shoe repair store. Leather, earth, burnt cherries and macerated strawberry rhubarb. Really showed after an hour.

Love me some serious Barbera. Built for the long haul with firm tannins, packed with fruit, acidity and high alcohol. Although balanced, this packs quite the punch. Fresh sour cherries, blackberries, dried cherries and leather is lingering in the finish.

Yummy yummy.

Nothing simple about this wine. Black cherry, plum, strawberry and power. Rose petal and spice. Perfect for our family steak evening.
