Not your typical Barossa big red. A rather feral manure nose with some black pastille hints. Medium minus weight of fruit with light tannins and medium acid. No noticeable oak influence. A refreshing change from the Barossa norm.

One of those wines where you would prefer to drink it in the vibrant bloom of youth rather than cellaring it. Enticing perfume albeit with a feral animale aspect reminiscent of a good CDP. A blend of Syrah/Mataro/Grenache 77/12/11. Low acid low oak. Great to see a winemaker willing to experiment and not follow the tried and true. A delicious result from a small production. 2012 vintage.
