Second of the three Pinot Noirs sent to us by Chris. Strong garnet red with brownish edges and some light sediment. Nose was very complex, starting off with some savory notes, light smokiness, slight dirty cellar, grilled herbs and spices. After opening up it developed some bright cherry and cinnamon butter notes. Moderate acidity (7/10) and definitely the most rounded of the three, well integrated too. Palate started with some berry puree and some perfume. Very complex, added in some woody characteristics too. Long and lingering finish. Chris is doing some great things with his Pinot Noirs we were able to try. Most complex of the three and would love to try this again in a couple years. Drink till 2022.

I had high hopes for this initially based on the perfumy nose, but the oak is a bit overpowering on the palate leaving the wine off balance. Still pretty tasty though.
